If you know me then you know my deep obsession with all things British pastries. There’s just something about a Victoria sponge or lemon drizzle cake. Maybe it’s just my undying adoration for Mary Berry (GBBO was never the same after she left). The brits really nailed the cocktail appetizer with sausage rolls — a flavorful sausage filling encased in a super flaky buttery pastry, dip it in some mustard and I could easily eat throw back a dozen. I’ve included my recipe for rough puff (note that it needs to be made a day prior to baking the sausage rolls), but seriously feel free to use store bought, they will taste just as good.
