You’re probably sensing an underlying theme to these newsletters — the practice of making, sharing, and eating food as my ultimate form of self care. Even through the roughest patches, the simple act of baking a cake that I think is beautiful and delicious and sharing it with friends will never fail to help me re center whenever life feels unsure or uneasy. I guess in a sense, cake has been my tether to the constant reminder that everything will always be okay. I love how silly and true and comforting that is for me.
