cardamom frangipane + plum galette
Hello! It’s been a minute, a little over a month to be exact. My hiatus was due to a slew of different reasons but the main one being that my housing situation was in a pretty chaotic state for almost all of June and July. Finding a place to live (if you’ve also gone through apartment hunting in nyc in the summer, you know the struggle) seemed to take up every ounce of my mental energy and so my beloved newsletter, and spending time in my kitchen in general, was left on the back burner. But now, I’m typing this inside my perfect new apartment in my lovely new neighborhood, and I’m so excited to get back to cooking and baking and sharing with you all. In the meantime here is a recipe for a lovely little galette from last summer, any ripe stone fruit works but I find that plums go especially well with cardamom.
